User Agreement
This agreement governs your use of TimeRoll and supplements the Apple Standard EULA that applies to your App Store license. Please read it together with the Privacy Policy before using the app.
Last updated: August 3, 2026 · Effective: August 3, 2026
1. Acceptance and scope
This User Agreement governs your relationship with the provider of TimeRoll (“TimeRoll,” “we,” or “us”). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using TimeRoll, you confirm that you have read and agree to this agreement and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
TimeRoll does not currently require an account and does not provide a public community. Additional terms shown before a future optional feature or purchase will apply only if you choose that feature or purchase.
2. The TimeRoll service
TimeRoll is a camera and private photo-keeping tool built around fixed-capacity rolls. You choose 12, 24, 36, or 72 exposures; captured photos stay hidden while the roll is sealed and become viewable after the roll is full, developed, and opened. Available features may vary by device, operating system, permission, region, and app version.
The app is a creative tool, not an archival, emergency, evidentiary, medical, or safety service. Test it before an important occasion and keep independent copies of irreplaceable material.
3. License and acceptable use
Your license to download and use TimeRoll is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement and the Apple Media Services Usage Rules. Subject to those terms, you may use TimeRoll on Apple-branded products that you own or control, including as permitted through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
Except where applicable law or an open-source license permits it, you may not copy, redistribute, sell, rent, sublicense, modify, create derivative works from, reverse engineer, bypass security or technical restrictions in, disrupt, or use automated means to misuse TimeRoll. You must use the app lawfully and comply with applicable third-party terms, including your device, network, and Apple service terms.
4. Your photos and other content
You retain your rights in photos, roll names, notes, voice notes, locations, and exports you create with TimeRoll. Using the app does not transfer ownership of that content to us. TimeRoll processes it on your device only to provide the features you request, as further described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for what you capture, store, export, and share. Do not use TimeRoll to infringe copyright, portrait, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights; to harass or harm others; or for any unlawful purpose. Obtain any permission required before recording a person, voice, private place, or protected work.
5. Local storage, deletion, and backup
TimeRoll does not operate an account-based cloud photo library or a server-side recycle bin. App content is stored in the app’s protected container on your device. Deleting a roll or the app, erasing or losing the device, storage corruption, or a failed device or system update may permanently remove content that we cannot recover.
Back up opened photos you wish to keep by saving or exporting them to a destination you trust. Exported copies are then governed by that destination. Device-level backup services, if enabled by you, are provided by their respective operators and are not controlled or guaranteed by TimeRoll.
6. Privacy and permissions
Our Privacy Policy explains on-device content, optional anonymous analytics, permissions, retention, and your choices. Camera access is needed to take photos. Microphone, location, Face ID, and add-only Photos access are requested only for the related optional action. You can change permissions in iOS Settings, although the related feature may then be unavailable.
7. App and creative results
Camera behavior and image appearance can be affected by hardware, lighting, storage, permissions, operating-system behavior, and the selected TimeRoll recipe. Preview, processed output, and another display or print may differ. Subject to your mandatory consumer rights, we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation or a particular creative result.
8. Our intellectual property
TimeRoll, its software, interface, visual assets, recipes, documentation, trademarks, and other materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. This agreement grants only the limited right to use the app and does not transfer those rights to you. Third-party and open-source materials remain subject to their respective licenses.
9. Updates, suspension, and termination
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, compatibility, legal compliance, or the product. We do not promise that every feature or app version will remain available indefinitely. Your license ends if you materially breach this agreement; when it ends, you must stop using and delete the app. Provisions that by nature should survive will remain effective.
10. Warranty and responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TimeRoll is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties that may lawfully be disclaimed. Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits non-waivable consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for our fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence where applicable.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or loss caused by a failure to keep an independent backup. We remain responsible for claims about the app that applicable law assigns to us, including product, regulatory, privacy, consumer-protection, and third-party intellectual-property claims.
11. Apple App Store terms
Apps obtained through the App Store are licensed under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless a custom EULA is shown on the App Store product page. This agreement supplements and does not replace that Standard EULA. If there is a conflict about the app license, the Standard EULA controls.
This agreement remains between you and TimeRoll for the TimeRoll service, your content, local storage, support, and acceptable use. Apple remains responsible only as stated in its own terms; App Store distribution, purchases, and refunds are also subject to Apple’s applicable terms.
12. Changes, governing rules, and contact
We may revise this agreement for legal, security, or product changes. We will publish the updated date and, where required, provide additional notice before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised agreement; if you do not, stop using the app.
Applicable mandatory consumer law and courts remain unaffected. Otherwise, disputes should first be raised with us in good faith. If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited only as necessary and the remaining provisions will continue.
